The LINC Program received a $500 donation from Valairco Cares this week, marking the program’s 30th charitable award since its creation in 2018. Board members, volunteers, and pantry shoppers gathered inside the pantry space at the New Providence United Methodist Church to welcome representatives from Valairco Heating & Cooling and celebrate the continued momentum of a program founded by two New Providence students.
Valairco Cares was established when Valairco Heating & Cooling reached its 50th anniversary. Richard Valenti, who founded Valairco in 1968, explained that the company wanted to mark the milestone by giving back to the community that supported it for decades. What began as a one-year charitable initiative quickly evolved into an ongoing philanthropic effort after receiving overwhelming community response.
