WHAT DRIVES US

Our Mission

The LINC Program was founded on the basis of bringing people of all different ages and backgrounds together to give back across New Jersey.

Through local projects and projects on behalf of organizations across New Jersey and through the operation of a resource pantry in New Providence, our goal is to bridge resources and build connections that support as many New Jersey residents as possible.

We are working to unite kids, teens, and adults in the fight against resource inequity in New Jersey. We effect change by linking volunteers and resources to organizations across New Jersey that are in need of support and running our own projects that support families around the state.

What we do

Our Projects

THE RESOURCE PANTRY 1

THE RESOURCE PANTRY

At the United Methodist Church in New Providence, the LINC Program has set up a resource pantry for food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and other necessities to be collected and distributed to local residents. Distributions occur once per month, with participating individuals receiving up to 50-60 pounds of these necessities.

THE GIVING GARDEN 1

THE GIVING GARDEN

The Giving Garden is a partnership between the New Providence United Methodist Church and the LINC Program. The Giving Garden provides the families we serve fresh produce during the summer and spring months. We typically grow green beans, squash, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, kale, radishes, eggplants, assorted herbs, and other various produce items. This partnership has enriched our program, as we strive to provide fresh food for those in need.

SchoolFuel 1

SCHOOLFUEL PROGRAM

In order to combat food insecurity among local students, we launched the SchoolFuel program throughout the entire New Providence School District. This pantry program provides students easy and anonymous access to fresh fruits, breakfast and lunch snacks, and easy-to-make meal kits for the evenings. As we continue to expand, we hope to spread the SchoolFuel program to many more school districts so that students can focus more on their education rather than worrying about their next meal.
